The Zilker Botanical garden in Austin features many different garden to stroll through and enjoy. The newest garden and most unique is The Hartman Prehistoric Garden installed in the place where dinosaur tracks were discovered in 1992. Plants in the garden represent the types found during the time of dinosaurs.
Another wonderful gem is the Green garden that showcase the naive plants that thrive in Austin’s challenging climate. Other gardens to enjoy are the Rose Garden, the Taniguchi Japanese Garden and many, many others.
March 29-30 of 2008 is the fabulous Zilker garden Festival. A fifty year tradition of the finest outdoor flowers and plants along with great food, music, exhibits and games for kids.
