Areas around Austin, Texas experienced winds gusting up to 60 mph, golf-ball sized hail, and sustained minor damage to several area residential communities.
Wimberley, a suburb of Austin, TX reported a tornado touching down around 10am Friday, while another twister ran through Carbon, Tx around 11:30 am. The storm is expected to strengthen Friday night before heading East.
Homeowners are encouraged to check for damages to vehicles parked outside, as well as to their roofs, once the storm passes and report any damage to their insurance carriers as soon as possible.
