The Lyndon Baines Johnson National Historic Park

Celebtrating the life and legacy of Lyndon B. Johnson.

The beautiful Texas Hill Country is home to the famed "Texas White House" and was home to the 36th president of the United States.

Begin your adventure at the visitor’s center, open 7 days a week where you can view movies about the Johnson Administration and the first lady, Ladybird Johnson. Stroll the permanent exhibit gallery of life in the 1960s and enjoy special exhibits in the temporary gallery.  One block from the visitors center is LBJ’s childhood home, it is furnished in a style from the early 1920s and there are tours of the house every half hour.  Enjoy a leisurely walk down a scenic nature trail that takes you to the secluded homestead of LBJ’s grandparents.

Everything in the park is free including admission.  From the park take the short drive to discover the LBJ Ranch and enjoy the ninety minute tour and see the ranch, LBJ’s birthplace, his school as well as the family cemetery.

Take a day and step back into history and explore a different time.
