This year’s rodeo will be on July 18 and 19 at the East Williamson County Event Center about 35 miles outside of downtown Austin. The Rodeo will have all the traditional cowboy events like bareback and saddle bronc riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling and bull riding. But there will also be favorites like children’s calf scramble, steer saddling and mutton bustin’. There will also be live music following the events each night.
The Rodeo is sanctioned by the cowboys Professional Rodeo Association and is presented by the Taylor Rodeo Association. The proceeds for the Rodeo goes to the Williamson County 4H Club.
The Taylor rodeo is one of the best small-town rodeos anywhere, so come out and experience rodeo at its finest. This is a great way to get your Rodeo fix untill the Austin Rodeo rolls back into town next spring.
