The largest healthcare provider in Central Texas, Seton Family of Hospitals, will soon have a new home. They broke ground recently on the 165,000-square-foot headquarters they are building at the Mueller Airport site. The building, which will house 650 employees, is "the first corporate headquarters of a major company east of interstate 35 in Austin," according to M.B. Taboada of the American Statesman staff.
The 711-acre Mueller site is being transformed into a true community, including businesses, shops, housing, parks and medical facilities. In fact, the first park is complete and the first residents are expected to move in at the end of November. The Seton building is expected to be completed at the end of 2008.
