In 1975 Austin City Limits was launched, bringing Austin into the forefront of the burgeoning music scene. Currently, South by Southwest and other festivals, as well as the afore-mentioned clubs and venues, bring thousands of musicians to the area annually. With so much to choose from, there is probably a live event occurring right now that will interest just about everyone.
