The Schlosser Development Company is proposing a soaring 28-story high-rise tower and a smaller four-story building with 90 condominiums, offices, retail areas and and underground parking structure to be built in the Market District of Austin, Texas.
This proposed development would be the largest downtown commercial project since 2004 and would be located on the block east of Whole Foods.
In order for this development to be built the zoning needs to be changed as currently only a building of 120 feet can be built and this planned developmentwould top out at 350 feet. The re-zoning process is expected to take several months.
There is no definitive timetable for starting this project but the development company is planning to begin “when the market and tenant demand is appropriate”.
