Judges’ Hill in Austin

Judges’ Hill in Austin is a beautiful historical district located on a rise east of Pease Park.  This area was home to the Tonkawa Indians and then became the home to many of Austin’s judges and attorneys in the late 1800s.

Residents at Judges’ Hills enjoy a quieter pace.  Since it is so centrally located, people can walk to work, shopping dining or entertainment.  Everything is just a few minutes from your front door.

Currently, the neighborhood association is trying form a local historic district to help preserve many of the older homes. This would also help to deter any high-density developments that may begin to encroach on this quiet, peaceful neighborhood located so close to the heart of Austin.

Judges’ Hill takes advantage of the excellent educational opportunities offered by Pease Elementary School, O. Henry Middle School and Austin High School.
