The final 2007 market numbers are in, and Austin has proven itself once again as a strong real estate market. December numbers even exceeded the dollar amounts from the same month of 2006, though modestly. Not as modest, however, is 2007 total sales volume at $15 million above the 2006 totals.
According to information recently published by Austin Title, even moderate slowing of sales couldn’t drag down the total outlook. Absorption rates were on par with the last decade’s and appreciation rates continue to be a bright spot.
With corporate investors moving the economy and a strong job market, the 2008 Austin market is bound to be one of the nation’s most active.
