This private nine-hole golf course was first played in 1959 by developer Bill cotton. Today this course is one of the most well-known areas in northwest Austin. The back nine of this splendid course was created in the early 1970s and the spectacular Spicewood 18-hole golf course soon followed. The Balcones Golf club prides itself on its rich history, tradition and family focus.
This unique course plays fast, has beautiful tree-lined fairways, and lovely views of the surrounding countryside. the curse rating is 69.9 and has a slope rating of 114 on Bermuda grass. The course features 6,360 yards of golf with a par of 70.
The Balcones Country Club is located directly off of US Hwy 183 at 8600 Balcones Club Drive.
