Austin’s Shakespeare Theater Group Has a New Home
Shakespeare Festival on the Banks of Lake Austin
A little-known replica of William Shakespeare’s Globe theater has been constructed on the banks of Lake Austin, and will be the new home of the Austin Shakespeare Festival.
Built by longtime Shaespeare afficionado Richard Garriott (software developer and major public benefactor), the Curtain Theater will host the Festival in this architecturally-significant facility for the first time.
What a terrific enhancement to Austin’s diverse cultural scene!
