Austin Texas Light Rail set to get underway in 2009
Our friends at Alamo Title – Austin have published a very useful and informative guide to the new Capitol Metro rail service set to launch early in 2009. (see the attached PDF file)
Citizens all over the greater Austin-metro area have been anxiously awaiting this alternative transportation mode, which initially will run from Leander to Downtown Austin, with many stops along the way in Cedar Park, North and Central Austin, and in the Downtown area.
Long overdue, this light-rail system was approved by voters as a way to help accomodate Austin’s growing traffic congestion problems, and we applaud the dedicated team of contractors, urban planners, engineers, and city officials who are bringing this environmentally-conscious transportation alternative to fruition.
