Austin Community College has chosen Leander Texas as a site for a new school. The city of Leander is five miles north of Austin and has been trying to attract a college for a few years now. The addition of higher education will enhance the Leander community, offering further education to the community at large.
While no details about the college and its building plans are known, the first step was taken in May when the property in Leander was purchased. The site for the future school is accessible to the TOD, 183, Toll 183A and public transportation. It appears that the relationship between Leander and Austin Community College will be mutually beneficial.
